The new DELL Equallogic PS6100 and 4100 series storage arrays provide excellent functionality and flexibility at an affordable price. The Equallogic PS series range provide capabilities such as:

- Live expansion of additional storage
- Higher I/O capabilities delivered with 24 disks per member in the new 6100 & 4100 series
- Free advanced SAN performance and analysis tool called SAN Head Quarters
This type of flexibility when coupled to a VMware environment enables system administrators to avoid system down time for planned maintenance, enabling the reconfiguration of the server and/or storage environments if required.
The modular design of the Equallogic PS series means that adding or removing a storage array from an existing environment is non-disruptive.
The latest PS6100 and PS4100 series are available in a variety of configurations ranging from a 12 disk array up to dual controller 24 disk arrays; all arrays ship with snapshot and replication capabilities as standard.
